How do I apply for a Practising Certificate when returning to practice?

You will need to log into MyBar and complete the New or Returning Authorisation to Practise application.

This can be found on the left-hand side on the homepage under 'My practising certificate'. You will need to click on the arrow next to ‘My Practising Certificate’ which will open a menu with the option to complete a ‘New or Returning Authorisation to Practise’ application.

Once submitted this will be processed by the Barrister Records team, who may be in touch if any additional information is needed.

You will receive an email confirming when your application has been processed and your Practising Certificate has been issued.
